To Benefit the Frederick Pony Club

Bring your little Witches & Warlocks & their beasts for a cotume contest & Cross

Country ride. The proceeds will help the Frederick Pony Club.

There will be 1 well marked course full of hills, river crossings and a great variety of cross country
jumps. All jumps can be ridden around.

*Costumes encouraged!!! Costume contest at 12 pm. Ribbons will be given by
age groups.

The short course will be 3 – 4 miles. The cost will be $20 per rider $10 for Pony Clubbers.

Riders go out in groups of 2 – 10. Ride at your leisure; work on schooling the jumps.

Come hungry! Eat and drink at the food stand!

Directions: Take 70 W to exit 42, Middletown / Meyersville. At the end of the exit turn left on
route 17 S. Go .8 mile to the right fork onto Old Hagerstown Road. Take Old Hagerstown Road
aprox. .5 mile. Dickcy’s driveway is just past the blue house with the white fence. The driveway is
steep. GO SLOW! Attendants will be on hand to direct trailers.

Christina’s registration as a Partbred Cleveland Bay is in process with the Cleveland Bay Horse Society (UK).
Foaled in 2002, Christina started Hunting at age 4 and has been competing on the MD Hunter Pace Circuit the past several years where she has been on the placing or winning team for High and Low Optimum Time. And the past two years High Fast team & All High Point Award. She competed Recognized Novice earning 3rd at the 2007 MD Horse Trials. She was loaned to the Inter-Pacific Pony Club where international riders from New Zealand and Australia enjoyed two sets of double clear rounds at Training Level & where Christina was High Point Horse. She has fox hunted with numerous hunts in MD & VA and will hunt well with any level rider, from 12-year-old beginner to Master of the hunt. She won the High Fast MD Hunter Pace trophy this past year, and won first place in the Upperville jumping class. She has plenty of scope to compete thru upper levels. She was 2009 Reserve Champion at Upperville in Cleveland Bay Division winning the Over Fences class. Her current owner hunts her with ease. Because of new interests & often being overseas, he has decided to Give someone the Phone: (301) 748-1109 opportunity and pleasure to own this outstanding mare.

Patriot is a 16.2 hand, 5 year old
Clyde-Paint Cross, Gelding

He has an amazing personality, disposition and is very affectionate.  He has wonderful ground manners, is an easy keeper and is  currently barefoot.  Patriot trail rides over
hills, creeks & varied terrain.  Has been started over small logs, coops and jumps.

He has been ridden by kids and gone out with large groups and alone.  Goes in a snaffle bit and has very comfortable gaits.  Patriot will be cubbing soon with local hunt clubs.

There are also quite a few river crossings to educate your horse about water.  On the long course you will cross water 7 times and on the short course, twice.  Each crossing is between 20 and 30 feet wide and runs approximately six to 18 inches deep.

And it is a very hilly property – great for both conditioning and for scenic views.  Only one hill (in the top right corner of the map marked with triple red stars and with signs on the long course itself) is very steep and not for beginners.  You’ll notice a level (flat) alternative is given.
